The Oracle

Perched atop his spotted dome,

The Oracle sits still and alone.

Eyes like pools of knowing light,

watching the day slip into night.

Beneath the moon, beneath the trees,

he whispers the forest’s mysteries.

No rush, no hurry, the forest sighs,

all truth is held in his knowing eyes.
